Andrew Rapolla is a powerhouse bassist in the rock and metal scene, known for wielding a six-string bass and delivering thunderous, groove-heavy basslines. With a foundation in classical guitar and deep knowledge of music theory, he merges technical precision with raw energy, setting himself apart as both a performer and musician.

Inspired by bass legends such as Anthony Jackson, T.M. Stevens, Marcus Miller, and Billy Sheehan, Andrew fuses intricate melodies with crushing low-end power, carving out a signature sound that demands attention. His ability to balance finesse with intensity makes him a dynamic force on stage and in the studio.

Andrew has performed at legendary venues such as the Whisky a Go-Go and the House of Blues, captivating audiences with his hard-hitting, groove-driven bass lines. His diverse musical background allows him to bridge the gap between classical technique and metal’s raw power, creating a sound that is both complex and commanding.

Adding to his impressive resume, Andrew has shared the stage with rock and metal icons, opening for legends like Vinny Appice, Junkyard, and John-5. Always pushing the boundaries of bass playing, he continues to shape the sound of modern rock and metal with passion and skill.

Currently, Andrew is working on a solo project and preparing to head into the studio to record a new EP. In addition, he remains active in the local music scene, collaborating with fellow musicians in an original rock band, writing and creating fresh, innovative music.

Andrew has been endorsed by MGbass since 2024 when Master Luthier Mauricio Costa started  building his custom Headless Extreman 6-string bass.

As Andrew would say “I’m not an endorsed artist, I’m part of the MG family.”
